The Grey Slip Dress
Not sure what exactly is going on with the weather lately but it gives me the perfect excuse to put up the details on this slip dress. A few months back I was perusing the AllSaints site and saw this super cute slip dress with sweater. (yes, it came as one piece that could be worn separately). I was really on the hunt for a black slip dress but the idea of getting a 2 for 1 at AllSaints intrigued me.
At first, I was really hesitant simply because I wasn’t sure of the fit and wondered if it would hug me in the right places. What if it fit me like a box?! Well, I would swiftly return it in hopes of finding something else that would work. So I ordered it, it arrived, I tried it on and it was perfect. The dress itself fits amazingly. I am not the curviest lady walking the streets but the cut is very flattering to the little shape that I do have. Also, I can’t get over the fact that I can wear the sweater alone with denim if I want. The sweater is slightly cropped so a higher waist bottom would work best, for me at least. I paired the slip dress this time with my faux leather beret and suede booties. But I cannot wait until Spring when I can whip out the dress alone with a nice strappy sandal, a cute baseball cap and a mini handbag for an edgy chic look, CamilleK style:)
I am however, still on the hunt for a black slip dress and I will probably search for something a bit shorter in order to diversify the options in my closet. Maybe something with a little lace? Who knows? But when I find the perfect one I’ll be sure to share. I found one here and here that I’m eyeing but the search is still on.
