Camel Coat from Work to Play
Since it’s not quite February I am still in the clear to say "Happy New Year!” to those who have not already heard it from me. Now that that’s out of the way, at the top of the year I posted to my Instagram asking for you all to help submit some ideas of what you wanted to see on the blog in 2019. Thanks to all of your input, I now have a running list of things, topics and ideas that you will surely see throughout this blogging year. It’s great to receive insight from the perspective of the reader. Otherwise, I would go on and on about coffee and stripes and neutral colors. HA!
One of the topic suggestions was submitted by a fellow Philly native and Dating Coach, Veronica Mobley. She wanted to see more on how to remix staples pieces. I pride myself in reinventing my pieces to get the most wear out of them. It also gives me a sense of accomplishment when I can make something take on a differently vibe. Trust me, you too will give yourself a pat on the back when you find several uses for one item.
I purchased this long camel coat from Zara back in October or so. I had assessed my outerwear and realized there was whole that could be filled with such an item. I will tell you that it’s not the heaviest coat so those of you who are looking for warmth, this isn’t it. It does well for me here in Atlanta but I do not want my New Yorkers swearing me down in the comments. Hahaha
As you can see the belt can be swapped for something a bit more fancy to spruce up your look for the occasion. Worn conservatively or fashionably , the coat works well. The color is a good staple to have and goes nicely with tons of colors and patterns.
What item in your closet have you remixed recently? And if you haven’t, choose something and get to it!
xoxo,
