Lisa Bonet Vibes; Comfort is Key
Comfort has become much more of a priority with my wardrobe as of lately and it’s truly important when you really think about it. We spend money on clothing and accessories to look and FEEL good, right? Well what’s the point of being stuffed into too tight clothing and aching after 10 minutes of wearing heels that are too damn high? I’d rather knock myself down a half inch and buy that one size bigger in the dress.
About a month ago I was out shopping for a client (yes, I do personal styling/shopping; email me for more info if interested) who mentioned her favorite store to shop in was Anthropologie. Occasionally I’d pop in there but it isn’t, well wasn’t, one of my go to stops on personal shopping trips. As I perused through and found some great pieces for her I also found this outfit for me! Shame on me for shopping for myself while working but I just couldn’t help it. Both items were on sale which is probably why I can’t seem to find the exact pieces to link for you guys. Sorry:( I did, however find some great comparable options for both the top and pants. Check the links above.
I must say that I have now added Anthro to my mall rotation. Some of the items they carry can be pricey as they house brands such as Mara Hoffman and 7forAllMankind. However, if you are able to fine tune the sale section, I’m sure you will find a gem or two just as I did. I wore this outfit recently to dinner with a good friend of mine and felt great in it. The top is oversized so I see myself wearing it belted over top some fitted leather pants with a pair of heels and maybe a wide brimmed hat for the Fall. Because it’s finally starting to get cooler in Atlanta, the pants may be going away for the season and I already can’t wait to bring them back out come Spring.
Do any of you shop Anthro? They also have really unique home furnishings. Also, are you getting the Lisa Bonet vibes I’m throwing here? :)
xoxo,
CamilleK
