I decided to start a series on the blog called Sporadic Splurge. It will discuss just that, a sporadic splurge I made, the thought process around it and how I’m loving or regretting the purchase. It’s okay to be a lover of luxury items but keeping the purchasing at your own pace. I was never one to run out and buy all the new trends but if I fall in love with something, I am going to figure out how I can make it work within my wardrobe and my budget!

Every now and then I get the urge to treat myself to something I would never, on a casual shopping day, buy. I have had my eye on these particular Louis Vuitton boots for about a year now. I seen them on one of my stylish Instagram gals, Ellandemm, and immediately loved them.

When I decided earlier in the year that I was going to Paris (check my Instagram highlights for Paris sights) with a group of friends, I knew I wanted to pick them up then. French brands are of course a lesser price in France than the US and also, if you are a traveler, you know that you receive taxes back (approximately 12%) if you make purchases over a certain amount in one particular store. I ended up saving a good amount of money and couldn’t be happier with my purchase.

These are the Louis Vuitton Wonderland Flat Ranger boot. They are true to size but I decided to go a half size up in order to accommodate the thick slouch socks that have made a come back with combat boot styles. Get used to seeing these this Fall/Winter as I plan to get several wears out of them. What have you splurged on lately? Let’s chat!

xoxo,

CamilleK
